Carved Philippine Figural Bed, Bench, Luzon

Description

A small bed/ bench with a terrific relief carved figure with outstretched arms on one end. The supporting legs below the figure create the whimsical impression that the figure is "holding" up the bed! The top is carved from one 6 inch thick plank of hardwood with a relief carved headrest. The free form legs are carved separately and fit into slots underneath.
